Occasionally, I’d get asked to do a strip for a publication other than The Oberlin Review. Not too often, but it did happen. This was one of those times.
This strip was done for The Voice – a quarterly arts and op-ed publication with a hip-hop theme to it. The editor was a fan of Toupy and asked me to do a strip (and later on, a cover) for the magazine.
The work I did for The Voice was a lot of fun. Not only did it let me draw in a different format, but it also let me branch out and tackle topics I didn’t usually tackle. Like what an incredibly dorky whiteboy I am.
